Aversion

When it comes to the more Nordic-sounding, rough-edged sub-genre within the Black Metal spectrum, I sort of have a not that secret passion for the scene from Canada in general, and the Quebec-based one more specifically. So you might imagine my arousal when receiving the promotional copy for the untitled debut of Montreal-based Aversion. This band was formed in 2011 and did release a demonstrational recording in 2013 (which was called Pre-Life Nostalgia).

Shrapnel Storm

After a hand full of demonstrational releases, Finland’s ‘Old School Death Metal BulldozerShrapnel Storm finally come up with their debut album, peacefully called Mother War. The quintet joined forces with the German (Thrash) Metal label Witches Brew to have this stuff released. It consists of ten new and older ‘songs’, clocking thirty eight minutes in its totality.

Mother War brings nothing new / renewing at all. Damn, this sounds like a depressing introduction…

Disorder

There are many bands called Disorder, but this review deals with the one from El Salvador, a small country which people do not easily refer to Extreme Metal. This project was formed somewhere half of the nineties, but after their debut album Voces De La Tumba, they did split up.
