I seem to have missed  the two albums that were released between ‘End Of Eden’ and this album, those albums being ‘Circus Black’, which apparently was a concept album, and ‘Re-Evolution’, an album featuring existing Amberian Dawn songs, but re-recorded with their new vocalist Päivi  “Capri” Virkkunen, who has replaced Heidi Parviainen.  Together with the old vocalist, the drummer Heikki Saari and guitarist Kasperi Heikkinen also left the band.  These were replaced by two ex-members of the band, Joonas Pykälä-aho (drums) and Emil “Emppu” Pohjalainen (guitar).

Besides line-up changes, they’ve also changed from label, going to Napalm Records.  If you’re into female fronted metal, with a heavy dosis of keyboards, but mixed with some nice guitar work, and good vocals, I think you’ll like this album.  Also worth to mention is that it’s not too heavy music, which might have something to do with Capri’s former exploits as a pop vocalist.

It’s a good album is my conclusion, but in the plethora of albums that are released nowadays, I’m afraid it might go by almost unnoticed. Which is sad, because it has it’s qualities.
