Dimension is a band that hails from Denver – Colorado, and this is their third release after their 2002 debut ‘Universal’ and the 2007 album ‘Ego’, both released by Nightmare Records.

It’s near unbelievable how a trio manages to creats such intricate sounds, with many layers, and rather complex music structures. Their music is a mix of progressive metal, but also has melodic passages and even some more extreme parts as well. As I said before, it’s hard to believe this band only consists of 3 members, as the drumwork, keyboards, guitars, vocals, all are well played, and the mix of each instrument is just right.  One special note has to be made about the sometimes very intricate drumwork. I’d say if you’re a DreamTheater fan, this is an album you ought to give a try.  The vocals aren’t as good as James LaBrie’s, but they’re not far off.
