This sure is a strange band.  Hailing from Athens – Greece, hence the bandname maybe, they were formed in 2000, and have since extensively been touring, mostly in Greece, but they’ve also done two European tours.  Since their founding they’ve released two albums, ‘Eleven The Hard Way’ in 2008, and ‘Macho Libre’ in 2011, which means this is their third release.

What they bring us is a weird mix of stoner rock, with massive influences from Southern Rock.  And whereas I’m no fan of stoner rock, but a big fan of Southern rock, I feared I would be abhorred by this album.  But my fears were soon over.  Not that I adored the album, for that the vocals are at times a bit too harsh, but this album has it’s qualities.  Especially the more Southern rock sounding songs were easily digested.

Not an album I’d immediately buy, nor an album that would be played many times, but not a bad album neither.
