Reasons Behind is a female fronted band, hailing from Bologna, Italy.  The band was formed in 2010 and released a debut EP ‘Ouverture’ in 2012,   This now is their first full album.  What they bring us is symphonic Gothic metal.

At first I thought the vocals were a bit over the top, since Ely or Elisa  in the full version, tends to sing most of the time in a what I’d call ‘operatic’ voice, but after a few spins I got accustomed to it, and started to like it (very much). On top of that the other musicians in this band seem very good as well.  Especially the keyboards are very good, but the drums – who played them is a mistery as this is nowhere mentioned – are good and fast paced.

Songwise all tracks are also very good, with ‘Under The Surface’ and ‘The Chemical Theatre’ standing out a little above the other tracks. Fans of bands like Within Temptation, Nightwish and Epica will surely like this band as well.
