Review : CD
“3 Doors Down” is the self-titled fourth studio album from the American rock band 3 Doors Down. The five-piece rock band was formed in 1995 in Escatawpa, Mississippi, and is very popular in the USA and Canada.
With their small town identity which appeals to a lot of people, singer/songwriter Brad Arnold and his four band mates managed to sell already 13 million albums worldwide.
After extensively touring for their previous album “Seventeen Days”, 3 Doors Down took a long break and that resulted in a refreshment of their team spirit and sense of camaraderie. Thus creating the ideal writing and recording situation, with an excellent album as the result.
3 Doors Down have a very recognizable style (thanks to the charismatic voice of Brad Arnold) with on the one hand stamping rock anthems and on the other hand power-driven ballads. Think for instance of hit singles like “Kryptonite”, “Loser”, “Here Without You”, “When I’m Gone”, “Let Me Go” and “Behind Those Eyes”.
And now there’s the new album “3 Doors Down”.
Actually the first CD where drummer Greg Upchurch (formerly in Puddle Of Mudd) plays on, though he is in the band since 2005, just after the release of “Seventeen Days”.
The brand new album contains 12 tracks (46 minutes playing time), including the following highlights: the adrenalin-fueled opening track “Train”, “Citizen/Soldier”, the number one hit single in the USA “It’s Not My Time”, “Let Me Be Myself”, “Give It To Me”, “These Days”, “Your Arms Feel Like Home” and “Runaway”.
3 Doors Down recently postponed their European tour that was supposed to take place in June 2008 until a later date.
