Live at Montreux 2004” is without a doubt a much better live DVD from Korn than their DVD “Korn Live”  from 2002. This new DVD is an experience for the fans just before founding guitar player Brian Welch quit the band. This DVD shows their last show in Korn's classic line-up. On the other hand this concert was part of the promotion tour for their worst album so far “Take a Look in the Mirror”. Nevertheless this is probably the best representation of just how powerful and ferocious Korn at its best could be. The show kicks off with a stomping version of "Right Now" the first single from that awful album. But after that start the rest of the set list shows all throughout the band's career. Korn brings some brutal versions of "Here to Stay" and "Falling Away from Me". On the jazz stage of Montreux the band has no time for ballads, slow songs or drum solos. Korn serves their viewers just how extreme good the band in its prime could be. Two miner details on this DVD are the fact that JonathanDavis' vocals are sounding soft sometimes at the beginning of the show and that there are no extras on this DVD. But this appearance at Montreux is showing that Korn rocks as never before.
