Band : Street Dogs With this Boston based Street Punk band soon invading Europe during the upcoming Eastpak Antidote Tour, their label wants to get some attention for the band, and does this by issuing this one-track CD-single, meant for promotion through radio stations mainly. Since releasing their State Of Grace album in early July (review of which wan't posted until 11/08 due to current record label policies of sending out promo material to the "smaller" magazines and webzines only àfter the actual release), the Bostoner fivesome has already hit the road in the States in promotion of the album by jumping onto the Vans Warped Tour before heading out on a headline tour of the States (with Time Again and Flatfoot 56 as support acts) in September (it actually runs up to October 19). On November 2 the Eastpak Antidote Tour (which also includes Flogging Molly, Skindred, and Time Again) is kicked off at Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the UK. After a run around the island it's off to Scandinavia via Holland (Tilburg) and Germany (Hamburg) for a couple of gigs, before doin' a short tour (4 gigs) of Germany, then off to Switzerland and Austria (2 gis here), Italy (again 2 gigs), Spain (2 gigs), France, Belgium (Dec. 3 at Genk's Limburghal) and a final gig in Holland. As for the track...if you haven't gotten the album yet, you can listen to it at myspace.com/streetdogs ànd street-dogs.com (both sites have additional audio material available). As I've told you in my review of the album, the song is rather anthemic, and with its slight Celtic influences it's in fact one of the better tunes on the album. I feel it would be unfair of me to rate the track separately, so let's just stick to the one I gave the album! 81/100 Tony. |
