This is one band I truly enjoy receiving material from. From sludge to doom to postrock and to psychedelic Viking Funeral is comprised of two movements of innovative, inventive and incredible crushing metal   After listening to Viking Funeral just once, I can't believe Hull is not signed by a record company. The musical range of this seventeen minute epic song self-produced release is simply astounding. The range of intense emotion herein ranges from the soft and mellow Explosions In The Sky meets Floyd slow buildups to blistering High On Fire meets Yob meets Baroness metal and everything else in between. I was totally captivated by this band from the beginning. These guys can mangle your intestines just as easily as they mangle genres. I'll just say that this is definitely one of my favorite new bands, and I can't fucking wait for their full-length.

Record companies stand up and take notice, Hull is incredible… excellent… crushing
