Band: Early Grave The members of Early Grave (Jordan Butler-v, Josh Morgan-g, Sean Ruane-d, and Russ James-b) are pretty young (average age: seventeen!), yet they did already support bands as Drowning Pool, Mastodon and Architects. They did recently enter the New Rising Studio with Mark Daghorn to record their debut album, having duration of forty seven minutes. Tomorrow I Am You brings pretty easy Metalcore-alike stuff, flavoured with some elements from Death and Thrash Metal, and with both grunting screams and somewhat harmonious melodic vocals (and from time to time a deep-grinding throat or punkish choruses). Sometimes I’m impressed by what these youngsters are able to perform, but I do absolutely miss some maturity. And also the poor mix can’t convince me. I guess this band needs to grow up a little more, and in a certain future they will get even stronger, probably, hopefully, but at this stage it isn’t enough. Tomorrow I Am You? I hope not! 68/100 Ivan Tibos. |
