“Mit Pauken Und Raketen” is the third studio album from the German teenage punk band Killerpilze. The three-piece band was formed in 2002 in Dillingen, Germany.
Killerpilze is often mentioned in the same breath as Tokio Hotel, but Killerpilze can’t compete on any scale with Tokio Hotel and will not have as much success outside Germany.
I would compare Killerpilze to the English pop punk band Busted (which you might remember from the hit single “Year 3000”) and to the American punk rock band Blink-182 (listen to “Ich Brauche Nichts” and you’ll think of Blink-182’s “The Rock Show” and “First Date”, pure plagiarism I dare even say).

So typical for most of these bands is the fact that they appeal to young teenage girls who are so easy to bedazzle, but for other (grown-up) people it is hard to take this kind of bands serious.
The album “Mit Pauken Und Raketen” contains 14 tracks (about 43 minutes playing time) and also includes as extras a photo gallery and the video trailers for “Ich Will Gerechtigkeit” and “Killerpilze in Paris”.

Killerpilze will perform at the Botanique in Brussels on September 26th 2008.
