De Wolff are a really great band from Limburg, Holland.. The band are firmly rooted in the 70’s, influenced by bands like Deep Purple, Bloodrock and Led Zeppelin. De Wolff are one of the few rock bands around who feature a Hammond organ, but no bass.. The songs are well composed and quite appealing and comprise of four bluesy rockers and the more I play this disc the more I appreciate it.

“The thrills that come along with the landing of a flying saucer” is the most dynamic of De Wolff”s four tunes, with a couple of heavy, twisty riffs wrapped around a spacey, wah wah-drenched jam. The Purple element is completely intact within a song such as “Yellow rat magic blues”. The drums are pounding along at a steady pacein “Fishing night at noon”. Gold and seaweed” is a hammond-driven tune bathing in saucy layers of guitar and a strong sense of melody. The biggest asset of De Wolff is that there is always a really catchy, driving beat around the corner.. This stuff makes me wanna pull out any old Uriah Heep, The Doors or Cream records again, and have a helluva ball.

This is a very young band's first EP, so look for great things from Robin Piso - Organ/Vocals
Luka van de Poel - Drums/Vocals and Pablo van de Poel - Guitars/Vocals as they mature and develop their sound. Definitely a band to keep an eye on for the future.
