Review: CD

Demiurg 's debut album Breath Of The Demiurg , also released through the Dutch label Mascot Records , was and still is one of the Death Metal highlights from this century. It was almost a gift by the Gods, it was a pleasure for my ears and spirit. For the creation of The Hate Chamber , having duration of almost forty eight minutes, Rogga Johansson (grunts (and a few blackish-oriented vocals) and guitars; also known from bands as Ribspreader , Paganizer , Ablaze My Sorrow , Edge Of Sanity , Killaman , Carve , Necromicon or Insision , to name a few) did work again with Johan Berglund (bass; This Haven , Ribspreader ) and Dan Swanö (production, mix and mastering, lead guitars, keyboards - no introduction needed), and this time Gorefest 's Ed Warby took care of the drum and percussion parts. The Hate Chamber mainly goes on in the vein of Breath Of The Demiurg : old school-inspired Death Metal with a spirit that pays tribute to the Swedish scene. Keywords: up-tempo (yet varying in tempo), overwhelming, groovy, merciless, true. Indeed, this uncompromising and ‘taking-no-prisoners'-stuff stands with glory and victory! A convincing / convinced winner!
