Trying to fathom the working of the minds of people working at major labels must be a job tailored for a psycho-analist with at least 30 years of experience! Try to get this: the Benelux release of this Australian band's new album Runnin' Wild has now been postponed for the third time (current projected release date would now be March 31 st )!!!

Meanwhile promo copies of the album have been sent out to all the relevant magazines and websites, and I'm sure reviews have been coming in from all sides, stiring up interest among those who could possibly be interested in the band's musical antics. Personally, I very much think people are either gonna loose interest all together, or buy the album elsewhere...like throught import from Australia, where the album was already out in late June of last year, or from the States, where the album was released on the original date of January 29 th (also, but I ain't quite sure about it, I think the album may have seen a release on that same date in the UK, as the band was touring The Island in early February). In Australia, the album's already seen 3 successful singles taken off it, and two of those were even released in the US prior to the album release. Of course, the band touring extensively over there during late Summer of last year, then moving to New Jersey earlier this year, and again touring the North American territories extensively (currently, gigs into April, and even one in May, have been confirmed) warrantled the necessity of the release and promotion. Well, over in Europe they decided to postpone the promotion until the band could come over to promote the album by playing gigs over here. Crazy innit? Here they've got a chance to put in some decent promotion ahead of the band coming over, warming up the fans out here for a future tour...and those silly corporate label people decide to postpone promotion until the band itself comes over to do their own promotion, gig-wize! Talk about your backways release politics! Oh, by the way, I just went on-line to check up some details...seems the album release in Europe has now been postponed to May!

Meanwhile the label's also post-poning the release of this single, I guess...but of course they've already sent it out!! Wanna know more about Airbourne ? Check out the review I did of the album, posted 24/02/2008. For the rating of this single (in actuality meant primarily for radio promotion), see rating of album!
