Antwerp based Belgian Hard/ Garage Rock 'n' Roll band Enemy Rose saw the light of day in the Summer of 2005. Influenced by the likes of The Stones, The Clash, Dead Boys, Stooges, NewYorkDolls, Ramones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Hanoi Rocks, one could actually see ER as a side-project of singer Tommy X and guitarist/ backing singer Sammy DiMera from Punk 'n' Rollers The Heartaches...who first joined with Rock 'n' Roll lusty young drum talent Sugar Martellotto, and then added Smooth Leg guitarist Spinal Steve and Smash My Radio bassist Ponzy to complete their line-up.

To contradict a phraze in the biography which states "...Nowadays Rock 'n' Roll has lost most of its colors...", I would claim that bands sticking to their songs first and not trading in the spirit of authenticity for a quick ticket to fame, are bound to get noticed positively! And this is exactly what happened with ER. Word of mouth spread out more and more, concert crowds were growing larger with every show, and soon enough the guys signed to I Scream Records, who put their first collection of songs on the And Two Become One split-CD shared with Mercy Killers in 2006. One thing's for sure: the world is ready for some honest-felt Rock 'n' Roll mayhem alà Enemy Rose, as was proven during the highly successful tour they recently did with Backyard Babies!

The band's 12-track debut full-length album (total length almost 39 ½ minutes) was produced by Kerry Martinez of US Bombs fame, and currently also lead singer/ guitarist for Bad Luck Charms (more about that band's recently released debut album elsewhere), and you can listen to a couple of tracks ("couple" to be taken literally, at least for the moment...until the band posts more) off the new album (and an additional track off their split-CD with Mercy Killers)at myspace.com/enemyrose.

You know, I think that for some reason the original release date of Feb. 19 was postponed, because planned US and Japan tours have been cancelled. In fact, there's not much on the boys' calendar at all, except that in late june the guys will be over in Rock 'n' Roll country Finland for a short tour. On July 12 they play Qocrock in De Haan (seaside Belgium). If your heart is in Hard Rock 'n' Roll, you know where to go!
