Band : Caputo Album Title : A Fondness For Hometown Scars Label : Suburban Records Distributor : Bertus Release Date : 17/03/2008 Release : CD He is so little and all the women are desperate to keep him as a lovely pet but one thing nobody can deny Keith Caputo has a voice out of a million. And this new fourth solo album is dream music for dreamy people. This could be quite possibly the greatest Keith Caputo recording known to mankind. This album A Fondness for Hometown Scars deserves more than just your attention, but also your soul, tears, time, for it produces true clarity. Listening to each track is a different adventure unto itself. Opening song Crawling is a perfectly made song. Vocally, Keith Caputo is on top of his abilities, sounding so tuned and so fresh. It's more than a pleasure to hear this man sing, whether it's on melodic ballads such as In This Life or when he kicks it up several notches in Troubles Down . You'll also hear another outstanding version of Got Monsters as well as a jazz intended song entitled Bleed for Something Beautiful with Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers as a guest playing the trumpet. Twelve slices of absolute heaven produced by Martyn Lenoble , the man who also is responsible for the sound of Porno For Pyros . Caputo is capable to make beautiful pop songs with a dark and melancholic edge. If you listen to Sad Eyed Lady you will exactly know what I mean. Every song hits a nerve and the whole album is just simply amazing. 100/100 Guido Claes. |
