Band: Böwlrider The madmen from Böwlrider, the legendary (!) UK-band, did record this album in 2004 in their home town Brighton. Rising Records, one of the rising labels lately, re-releases this catchy album. During more than fifty three minutes (the hidden bonus track not included), Böwlrider bring a combination of different Rock styles: varying from groovy Rock ‘n’ Roll over Bluesy Stoner to melodic and rocking Punk, never forgetting to pay attention to preserve a perfect equilibrium between a modern approach and an old school feeling at the same time. The paddo / beer-influenced tracks exhale a pure Garage-spirit and the sleaziness is touching. Highly recommended to everyone who can appreciate stuff between High On Fire, Led Zeppelin, Motörhead, Celtic Frost or Mudhoney, I guess. Oh yes, one song is, by the way, a Mudhoney-cover (“In ‘N’ Out Of Grace”), and the album also contains a hidden bonus track, performed live. 75/100 Ivan Tibos. |
