Band : Faster Faster Album Title : Hopes & Dreams Label : Oort Records Europe Distributor : Goodlife Distribution Release Date : 28/11/2008 Release : CD Faster Faster is a new punk band with excellent vocals by Kyle Davis and ditto backing vocals by Randall Dowling who also plays the guitar parts. This debut album kicks with the piano leading “I’m Drawn To You Sweetheart” that ends in nice love song with good guitars, bass and drums. The second album is another heart breaking song. “Backstabbing Never Seemed So Friendly” tells the story of two guys in love with the same girl. The drums, guitars, vocals and lyrics are very catchy. It’s really difficult to put the label punk on them because they are more a nice pop band with beautiful love songs. Therefore Faster Faster is a atypical pop punk band with a pair of melodic vocalists and fast guitars. And they put also blues riffs, synthesizer pop tunes and jazz in their eleven songs that especially teenagers will evoke. At this moment you can propably compare them with Fall Out Boy. The lyrics at “Hopes & Dreams” are all about bullshit relationships and sex of today's extended college adolescence. But is all brought with a certain quality that makes this band already special. 82/100 Guido Claes. |
