Band: Infernal Execrator Hailing from Singapore, Infernal Execrator was formed in 2005 by Lord Ashir, who did co-operate with bands as Impiety before. Together with Belial Hatehammer and Afreet, Lord Ashir recorded a first demo tape in 2006, called Thy Demonization Conquers (self-released in a limited version), which was followed soon after by the recruitment of former Balberith-member Drakon. However, both Drakon and Belial Hatehammer left the band, and in mean time, after the recording of the mini-album Antichrist Execration, also Afreet parted ways. In mean, Lord Ashir did find two new companions to continue spreading the unholy words of Evil, Hellgrinder (known from Istidraj) and Kommando Antichristo (Imperial Tyrants). Anyway, Antichrist Execration was recorded in June 2007 with producer / engineer Nizam at a studio (Musiczone, by the way), which gets also used by bands from different musical styles: from Rock over Punk to Progressive (brrr, I get the creeps), and has a total running time of twenty four minutes. The six diabolical tracks bring fast to blasting Black Metal, including a few slower parts, dealing with blaspheme / anti-christian and misanthropic / anti-human themes, which isn’t that uncommon in Singapore at all, of course (think: Black Torture, Impiety, Abhorer, Istidraj, Rituael, Prophesy and many, many others). The strong and bestially-brutal compositions come with a certain mardukian sound and a grim atmosphere, and what’s more, all songs differ from each other, which may not be that evident within this scene. The mini-album also includes the Impiety-cover Sodomythical Frostgoats, performed in a more than satisfying way. The artwork, finally, is lovely old school-oriented, from the mind and the hand of Chris Moyen, who did also work with, for example, Desaster, Blasphemy and Bestial Mockery, to name a few. Conclusion: a new horde has risen at Singapore’s soil, a horde that will not take prisoners. Beware for the upcoming album (soon, I hope!)! 92/100 Ivan Tibos. |
