Review: DVD

If you mention the Polish scene, well, this one is just enormous. Probably the names of Behemoth and Vader will fall, yet another huge name is Decapitated. The band started in 1994 when some school friends wanted to pay tribute to their heroes. Their average age was: fourteen (14)! During the former years, Decapitated released four positively reviewed full lengths (and a compilation with the early demo tapes) and Human’s Dust is their first DVD. This DVD mainly features a gig the band did in October 2002 in Krakow, Poland, as a part of a European tour with Vader and Krisiun. The quality of both sound and visuals is very good and that’s nice (at least for DVD-freaks, of course). Also the members’ performance is superb, and this gets proven by every single track they perform, among which the Napalm Death-cover Suffer The Children. Human’s Dust also features live material from two other performances: Ozzfest in Katowice (2002) and the Metalmania Festival in the same city (March 2004). The recording quality may not be as nice as one the Krakow-session, yet still it is acceptable, and the performance is excellent, of course, in both cases. Besides all this live material, the DVD also includes the video clip of Winds Of Creation and several interviews, done at the live performances. And of course you can also find the ‘usual’ stuff: photo gallery, biography, discography and desktop images. Indeed, highly recommended to all Decapitated-fans!
