Amanda Palmer is a name you probably will recognize. As lead singer and pianist for The Dresden Dolls she had a recent new album “No Virginia”. Her plans for a solo project were born in an attempt to try something different besides the band. And this single “Leeds United” is a clear example of what the new solo album will sound like. She has put much of herself in it. She collaborated with Ben Folds of Ben Folds Five who was a big influence on the forthcoming CD “Who Killed Amanda Palmer”. This first single from that album sounds really jazzy and fast. The fact that it is featuring the Born Again Horny Men of Edinburgh is no strange to that. It's a group of Scottish trumpet players that creates that jazzy atmosphere. Amanda Palmer shows her enormous talent in this single and that will also be the fact on the whole album. It's already known that the next thing she will do is writing a book about the murder of Amanda Palmer in collaboration with the excellent writer Neil Gaiman. Amanda Palmer is definitely a creative multifunctional lady.
