Band: The End Of All Reason The End Of All Reason hail from Belgium and were formed four years ago. Their live-experience is pretty huge: Aborted, The Black Dahlia Murder, All Shall Perish amongst others, but during the past four years, nothing official has been released yet, except for a self-released split-demo with A Trail Of Horror (with members from Earection, Time Out and Reign Of Terror) at the very beginning of 2006. Until now. The End Of All Reason entered the studio with Sven Janssens (from Battalion/Axamenta/Aborted-fame), who also did some guest vocals and provided some samples, and recorded five tracks, which have been compiled on the mini-album Fragmented. For twenty eight minutes, Fragmented surprises over and over again. The band brings a brutal yet pretty unique form of Death Metal. The songs have a progressive edge, and the members perform with the best techniques. An important fact is the variety between the songs on the one hand, and the many tempo-changes within the songs at the other. The experimental and technical Death Metal is well-balanced, the compositions are apart and go way beyond the traditional standards. And what’s more: it fits, whole the time. At this very moment, the band is writing new material and preparing the recording of a first full length (which will be a concept album), and I hope the release of it won’t take too long. Reason: this band belongs at the throne amongst bands as The Red Chord, The Black Dahlia Murder, Aborted and Decapitated. 88/100 Ivan Tibos. |
