Band : P. Paul Fenech Album Title : Skitzofenech Label : I Used To Fuck People Like You In Prison Records Distributor : Hard Life Promotion - Suburban Release Date :12/05/2008 Release : CD The Meteors front man and also the psychobilly legend P. Paul Fenech has made his seventh solo album. And this new project shows once more the amazing song writing by Fenech and his insane guitar playing that improves year after year. Psychobilly is a mixture from punk and rockabilly. Fenech is an artist pur sang that breeds psychobilly and rockabilly. He is also a prolific and successful writer of horror film music and has written extensively for television and many other films. Everbody knows him of the recording of “Take A Walk” from the horror movie “Return Of The Living Dead”. This seventh solo album is just another proove of his love for this kind of music. But although it sounds all very raw this record begins to get boring after a while. All songs are pretty much the same and thats' a real shame because P. Paul Fenech is more than 30 years an icon for rock- and psychobilly. And ofcourse it's more than true that you have to see this man on stage beacuse he really rocks. I must say that I do prefer his work with The Meteors above his solo project. 65/100 Guido Claes. |
