Motion City Soundtrack is a rock band based in Minneapolis with only two of the founding members still part of the lineup. This band already released three full length albums and they have now a new EP. It’s an acoustic EP of their successful chart release “Even If It Kills Me” from 2007. This third album eventuated as their most successful both commercially and critically. And now the band tries to get more recognition with this five track acoustic EP featuring acoustic versions of songs from their latest album “Even If It Kills Me”. The songs were released exclusively through the iTunes Music Store but are now also available on CD.
The combination of the vocals together with the plodding pianos chords and thick acoustic snaps brings an entirely newborn intimacy to the once upbeat punk songs. Songs like "Fell In Love Without You", "It Had to Be You", "Broken Heart" and "Point of Extinction" are totally different acoustic but when you’re a true fan of this band you better pick up the original, electrified album “Even If It Kills Me”.
