CD REVIEW Trivium

Band : Trivium
Album Title : Down From The Sky
Label : Roadrunner Records
Distribution : CNR – Concreteweb Promotion Office
Release date : 08/09/2008
Review : CD-single

As first official single from their fourth studio album “Shogun”, the American thrash metal quartet Trivium have released “Down From The Sky”.
In comparison to the songs of the previous album “The Crusade” (2006), this new song brings back the screaming that could also be found on the album “Ascendancy” (2005), while the refrains still contains enough melody (read: melodic singing).
Other difference is the production, this time done by Nick Raskulinecz (for instance Foo Fighters, Stone Sour, Rush, Velvet Revolver, Shadows Fall, Marilyn Manson, Death Angel, Coheed & Cambria) and not by Jason Suecof who did the previous two Trivium albums.
Trivium will be part of the Unholy Alliance part III with Slayer, Mastodon and Amon Amarth with dates in Heineken Music Hall, Amsterdam (the Netherlands) on November 7th 2008 and in Lotto Arena, Antwerpen (Belgium) on November 12th 2008.

85/100
