Album Title : Here We Stand
Label : Island Records

Release date : Universal
Review : CD
“Here We Stand” is the second studio album from the Scottish rock ‘n roll band The Fratellis and the follow-up for the million selling debut album “Costello Music” (2006).
One could describe the rock ‘n roll music of The Fratellis as easy listening. It enters through one ear and goes out through the other ear. At the same time, that’s my criticism on the album: there are hardly a couple songs that remain in your head after you listened to the whole album.
Maybe this album comes a bit too soon after the previous one and hasty work is sloppy work.
Nevertheless, The Fratellis are a huge success in the UK, but elsewhere in the world there will not be so much fuzz about these Scotsmen.
The threesome Jon, Barry and Mince Fratelli self-produced “Here We Stand” in their own studio. It contains 11 songs with a playing time of 48 minutes.
Highlights are the opening track "My Friend John", the piano track “A Heady Tale”, the singles “Look Out Sunshine!” and “Mistress Mabel", “Tell Me A Lie” and “Lupe Brown”.
My guess is that we may expect The Fratellis at most of the European summer festivals.
