Band: Left To Vanish Left To Vanish is a Philadelphia-based five-headed piece that started in the first half of this millennium. Versus The Throne is the successor of Buried Alive In A Grave Of Your Own Mistakes and the cover drawing was pretty confusing to me. I’m not used to this chaotic, nervous and fierce-coloured portraits, but the more intense was my perplexity when listening to Left To Vanish’s sonic brain-damaging. The crossover of brutal Hardcore and technical, modern (Death) Metal / Deathcore combines doom-laden to grind-blasting parts with destructive yet almost mathematically constructed grooves and a fat, rough sound. However, forty three minutes can seem a long time to undergo this aggressive, overpowering recording. But even though this album can’t beat a few earlier recordings this year, Versus The Throne is surprisingly heavy and is recommended to fans of, let’s say, everything between Job For A Cowboy, Suicide Silence, Cephalic Carnage and Through The Eyes Of The Dead. 73/100 Ivan Tibos. |
