Band : End Of Green Album Title : The Sick’s Sense Label : Silverdust Records Distributor : Silverdust Records - CNR - SPV Release Date : 27/08/2008 Release : CD This is the kind of gothic metal I really love but after a few listening to their new album it disappoints me. The sixth album of the fine German melancholic gothic band End Of Green is called “The Sick’s Sense”. In the beginning this band sounds more atmospheric and doom-like than now. Their albums “Songs For A Dying World”, “Last Night On Earth” and “Dead End Dreaming” are three very good albums that reaches a high level in whole Europe but with their latest album they only going to be successful in Germany I suppose. With three guitar players the band plays very nice riffs and rocks very dark but all songs sounds so commercial that it’s becoming a little bit disappointing. The vocals of Michelle Darkness are still great and overall it’s still a fine album to listen to. The best songs on the album are “Killhoney” and “Hurter”. And End Of Green makes always place for some very emotional dark songs that are really catching such as “Let Sleeping Gods Lie”, “Sunday Mourning” and “Burry Me Down”. For those who likes the previous albums you can still buy this stuff but also fans of HIM and that other German band Lacrimas Produndere can easily go with End Of Green. 80/100 Guido Claes. |
