Band : Dawn Of The Dude Album Title : International Time Travel With Magical Babes Label : Oort Records Europe Distributor : Goodlife Distribution Release Date : 03/11/2008 Release : CD This American band Dawn Of The Dude from North Carolina is an ideal band to play at beach parties, end of the school year roasts and make-shift fairs and carnivals that pop up through the summer months. This rock quintet sings about hormonal changes and emotional stages of a teenager. Their songs look at the world through the eyes of naivety with the steadfast heart of a prized fighter. The album is loaded with poppy punk, party rock and ska. There’s for everyone something on this album like the ska in “Blast Off” or the pop song “Lover’s Lane”. The band rides along this path of elevated energy levels through the tension in the guitar riffs of “Circuits of Time” or the punk song “The Dream”. Other songs like “Sports Bar All-Stars” or “The Here We Go Era” shows some rock guitars and heavy keyboards. The album ends with the glittering sonic lights of “Landing” moving in melodic patterns that build into great blazes and then wanes down into fading flickers. Dawn of the Dude have an album that can really grow on you but just like their music this band need a while to grow on his own. 70/100 Guido Claes. |
