Tessmarka is a British band from Essex. The band's style, varying between punchy pop-infused indie and full-on in-your-face rock 'n roll, consistently embraces melody, harmony and the all-important guitar riff. When you listen to this British punk rock band you noticed that they play faster and more upbeat with quite a punk rock attitude. Their music is definitely rock ‘n’ roll influenced by indie punk and by American bands like Sonic Youth and Mudhoney. Tessmarka could have been a cult band back in the late seventies. These guys must also have listened quite a lot to bands like The Ramones, Buzzcocks and Primal Scream. The best two tracks on this new mini-album are the melancholic song "Starting Over" and the fine pop punk song"Committed". The other four songs shows their music skills with some grunge influences of the nineties. All songs are good constructed. It pressed Tessmarka undoubtedly to some punk level starting bands would like to show off.
