Andrea Baroni is probably best known as keyboard player for the Italian progressive metal band Icycore. But he’s multi talented.  This shows in this album, that is not metal, but rather modern progressive electronic music, since the only instruments used are keyboard and synth, also using lots of samples. Even though this is not music I would listen to on each and every day, it is not bad at all, although the quality of the songs varies a lot.
When listening to the album I did sense a lot of influences, and at some point I heard similarities to other groups, such as Front 242 (early work), Depeche Mode and even Anne Clark. The album is in fact a concept album, about a devastated earth, and the surviving traces of humanity.  So the atmosphere is rather loaded and dark, which is reflected by the music.
Metalheads should stay far away from this album, but if you’ve got a broader horizon give it a try.
