Upon hearing the first versus of this album (called Homeland) bye Red Circuit (a Progressive Metal band from Germany), you get a very familiar feeling. That’s right, Chitral Somapala from Firewind on vocals. And that’s not all, it also holds huse for members and guest artists from renowned bands such as Vanden Plas, Adagio and Elegy.

With such a line up it’s hard not to be stoked about it. Unfortunately their have been some line up changes so you may not find your favorite artist between them.

The music itself is kind of strange. It doesn’t really have a typical progressive feel to it. It has more of a orchestra feeling with violins and other classic instruments that than change into full distortion, but in some way it reminds me of videogame music/themes. The songs get more intense and reach a certain apotheosis, like your fighting a big end boss in a dungeon. But I mean that in a good way, good music always brings up memories of certain things and Red Circuit is definitely one of those bands who bring good music

87/100
