Band: Amon Amarth Two months ago, Metal Blade Records re-released Amon Amarth’s The Crusher, including a live-bonus-CD. The latter was the registration of the fully performed album, done during the Bloodshed Over Bochum concert series. Review posted on the site on 26/10/2009… This is the newest edition of Metal Blade’s re-releases for Amon Amarth. The original album was released in 2002 and this re-issue has been remastered by Jens Bogren - and of course it stands for superb material: magisterial and epic Death Glory! To some this album is considered the strongest Amon Amarth-release to date, but that, of course, isn’t but a subjective / personal statement. The bonus album contains the integrally played album, recorded live on December 31st 2008 during that very same Bloodshed Over Bochum concert series. The sound is all right and the performance, well, let’s say that such an experienced band knows the definition of professionalism! Highly recommended to all (hardcore) fans! --/100 Ivan Tibos. |
