CD REVIEW Sinocence

Band: Sinocence
Title: Scar Obscura
Label: Rising Records
Distribution: /
Release date: November 2009
Review: CD

Fifty seven minutes of melodic Metal, mixing melody with a rhythmic tempo and rather sore yet melodic vocals (note: extremely boring after a while). Pretty modern, going for both compositions and sound / production. Pretty varying yet at the same time sometimes way too predictable. Craftsmanship, members’ great ability to handle the instruments. Modern, without any doubt one of the most groovy and catchy releases this year. Commercial MTV-stuff to some, Thrash-superiority to others (I guess?)…
Sorry, it won’t work, unless you’re focusing on Cliché-Metal… Too long, and most of the time too pathetically easy… (ps: ‘most of the time’ means: not all the time, luckily – yet again…)

60/100
