The problem with a lot of punk garage rock bands is that their enthusiasm far outweighs their ability and readiness to be recorded. Germany’s Stereo Satanics is one such example. Dwelling in the musty cracks between sixties garage rock and hardcore punk land, Stereo Satanics just doesn't have the goods or the ability to deliver. Just take a listen to the very basic guitar 2-3 minute tracks or the plain vocals. These guys just aren't compelling enough to keep my attention.

Stereo Satanics do nothing to stand out from the crowd with their music. If you're going to do a style that sounds like you've had Sonics/The Nomads in one ear and The Clash/The Damned in the other, you have to dress up the songs with either the catchiest melodies, hooks and riffs known to mankind or do something that is a little more unique.
