Band : Eagles Of Death Metal If you have never heard Eagles Of Death Metal then hold on to your butts......do you like or own any of the best T-Rex, Rolling Stones or Slade albums? If so, you will want Heart On in your collection. For those who are familiar with EODM already you will have no fear in buying this album. It is no more or no less than their previous effort Death By Sexy. For me that was a welcome thing because what they do, they do so well, you really & truely do hope they continue doing it. The most important thing is that these songs sparkle with life and they give the album an undeniable charm. Such simple music is made special by the unique tone and melody in Jesse Hughes’ voice. He carries these songs completely, aided by the invigorating guitar licks by Josh Homme..“Anything ‘cept the truth” and “Heart on” is a nostalgic trip back to the days when Marc Bolan topped the charts, while “Tight pants”, “High voltage” and “Solo flights” pays homage to Keith and Mick. The titletrack especially has a happy carefree vibe that makes it perfect listening on almost any occasion. It is one of the band's timeless songs. “Now I am a fool” is a slow moving ballad and it finds the right atmosphere from the first string. After a few listens these songs will haunt you for a long time.. Heart On is an album I can pull out whenever I want to get in a party mood, it works every time. 88/100 Cosmicmasseur. |
