This live performance is displaying a tight High on Fire in the year 2003 at the Relapse Contamination -festival.. We only get 8 tracks in your face without any long breaks or long stories told to the audience. The main studio album covered in this concert was the second album Surrounded By Thieves. The setlist includes 5 songs from the Relapse debut.

Overall a stunning performance from High On Fire. This recording is from only one complete show, so what you hear is what you get. I like the intensity, because everything has to be nailed on the night. The sound on the album is excellent. It is well produced maintaining the raw live sound. I very much doubt that there are any overdubs on the record. Matt Pike, George Rice and Des Kensel is ending the concert with “Witching hour” and thereby, like many contemporary US metal bands, paying tribute to Venom.

Strong material and a flawless live performance make this album a must have for High On Fire fans.
