Having a quick scan through the digipack (no booklet) accompanying the CD, this looks promising. Now here's an alternative to those who like bluesy psych rock, but sometimes feel like that the songs of certain bands are just too psychedelic for their own good, and fail to ‘get to the point’ fast enough. All the tracks on Volume III are more of less of normal length (5-7 min), and while they contain fantastic tight playing, time changes and groovy arrangements, they also contain real hooks and melodic and very American sounding choruses. The style of the band is pretty familiar, touches of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Captain Beyond, Clutch, Allman Bros (they even cover “Whpping post” with drumoctopus Jean Paul Gaster) and Zeppelin and plenty of grunge/desert rock stylings, but still, it's all done somehow quite originally. Getting the album started are twin crankers “681” which experiments on a heavier slab of riffage and "Pathetic" that rocks out with style and finesse. Funky sound and solid riffs make “Outnumbered” a very entertaining song, and certainly very complimentary to the mighty but rather unknown Liquid Jesus. Thomas Juneor Andersson steals the instrumental “Sorg” from under everyone's nose with several measured blasts of engagingly melodic jazzy-like soloing. The great guitarwork by Thomas together with the rock steady rhythm section by Roger Ojersson (Bass) and Tobias Strandvik (Drums) works really nicely on all the tracks, and pleasing vocals over it all makes this a very soaring surprise.

Volume III by this Swedish power trio is highly recommendable.
