The Mexican formation Bakteria exists since the first part of the nineties and has always been somewhat controversial. An example: singer Umberto Torres shot someone at the end of a Bakteria concert in Mexico’s capital. Nice bunch of guys, aren’t they?
Musically and lyrically they are sweethearts too. This album, with the romantic title Defecate! Suffocate! Mutilate! Masturbate!, consists of sixteen tracks (thirty nine minutes) with titles as "Shit In The Pussy" (smells nice, not), "Castrate With A Rusty Skate" (howdy???), "Feed Feces To The Foetus" (bon appétit!), "Chromosomes In The Toilet" (where else?) or "Feed The Starving With The Rich Man’s Vomit" (a third world solution?). and musically the band combines elements from Sludge, Punk, Doom, Hardcore, Crust and Grind, yet with a pretty original approach. Original does not mean that this band is renewing, but Bakteria bring a refreshing combination of old school filth with modern trash; it’s a smelly collection of gore and splatter, porn and sadism.
The ultimate present for your mother in law at christfuckin’mass(murder)…
