Band: Ministry Ministry was an American industrial metal band founded by Al Jourgensen in 1981. Originally a kind of New Wave band, Ministry changed its style to industrial metal in the late 1980s. Later on the band found mainstream success in the early 1990s with its most successful album Psalm 69 in1992. But unfortunately after so many years of touring, a total of 39 line up changes and 12 albums Al decided to end it al with a big bang and did one last farewell tour called the "C-U-LaTour". A year later Al released something for the fans: The Last Dubber. A collection of 12 songs that they remixed. Looking (and hearing) at it in a “no fan” kind of way I was a bit skeptic about it, How can you remix industrial music that is already a mix let alone make it sound better,…. But in some kind of way it’s an amusing album. It’s not something you can bang your head to but it works well for background music in a lounge kind of way. I really enjoyed hearing it on the background while reading some books. 92/100 Jeroen. |
