Lääz Rockit is a trash metal band from San Francisco that was formed in 1982. And although one of the lesser-known groups of the Bay Area Trash Metal  scene, each of album has received high critical marks.

Now we all know the eighties were the golden era of thrash metal, but we’re followed by glam bands like Mötley Crüe, and this wasn’t always appreciated by fans of the genre. This album of the San Francisco outfit that actually is a rerelease of their second album, looks like one of those bands that changed genre. It shows a young band that at this point was still undecided for what direction they wanted to take their music. But in the days of its original release in 1985, there was virtually no market for thrash metal. However, the glam thing was getting hotter and so these guys jumped on the train.

They still sound/sounded fast and heavy for their time but for some of you out there, it may sound a bit to soft or you may have a feeling that you heard it before. It even may sound a bit disappointing to fans who’s favorite bands go wrong. But if you give them a chance and give the album a try, you can still hear trash metal solos on some of the songs like Backbreaker.

89/100
