This is the third, and apparently final part of the Viking story.  I didn’t hear any stuff from the previous two albums so this was quite a surprise to me.  Judging on the cover I had quite other expectations then what the album finally turned out to be.

In fact this is good solid power metal.  The songs, 12 in total, are really well structured, and very powerful.  So musically all fits snugly, I’m only having some trouble with the vocals.  Michael Selfert has a good and powerful voice, but after a few songs I’m becoming a bit bored by his constant “shouting and growling”.  Why can’t he sing like a decent singer.  Just look at Manowar, they also make some heavy, powerful metal, but they don’t shout constantly.

69/100
