Infinity Overture are a new Danish symphonic Power Metal band, formed in 2005 by guitarist Niels Vejlyt.  He's also the one responsible for writing the musical compositions.  Ian Parry, knows as singer for Elegy, but in the past also involved in Arjen Lucassen's Ayreon project and in Consortium Project.   With Mads Volf (Manticora) on drums, and Mads Damgaard on bass they also enlisted Lene Pedersen and Anne Karine Prip to do the female vocals.  To top it all of they added a symphonic orchestra.

All lyrics were written by Ian Parry, who also worked out the story concept on which the album is based.   Mixing of the album was done by Sascha Paeth and Miro, known for their work with Rhapsody of Fire, Kamelot and Angra, in conjunction with Neils Vejlit. the story itself is based around two tribes, one being peace loving people, gifted with crafts, and "pure of mind".  The other is more like a warrior tribe, seeking to extend its territory.  At a certain moment in time they inevitably meet, and it is this time the peace loving people send out their princess to meet the warriors.  Instantly the warrior king Maddogcladees falls in love with her.

Time goes by, and while the warrior king has put down his sword, his followers become restless, as they were promised riches beyond belief, which they did not get.  When things start to get bad however, fate comes to the rescue of the king. The waters around the kingdom start to rise, and they are forced to leave this land.  A massive boat is built, and they go on a journey to find a safe place. To cut a long story short, they finally find Utopia, a safe place on high ground, which was to become their new paradise, as was proclaimed by the stars. Musically they've pulled out all the tricks, and did a good job at that.  A very promising start for this new band.
