Band: Minotaur The German band Minotaur was originally formed in 1983 (!) by some friends that wanted to play music in the vein of Dark Angel, Slayer and Possessed. And now, more than twenty years after the recording and release of their debut album (and the only full length studio recording), the band returns with a second album, which is pretty much comparable to the early years’ sound! This also goes for the sound (same producer as back then, you see). God May Show You Mercy… We Will Not stands for old school Thrash Metal with a subtle connection to the old school Black scene, and it will be appreciated by fans of early Kreator, Sodom, Possessed and comparable stuff. Indeed, the level of originality is beneath zero, yet the performance is more than acceptable. Nothing more, certainly nothing less! 84/100 Ivan Tibos. |
