Band: SaraLee Hailing from Finland, SaraLee is another formation that combines catchiness with elements from Gothic, Rock and Metal. Just like on the 2006-debut album Darkness Between, which was released through Firebox too, SaraLee’s songs inject their melodic music with dynamism and energy, yet also with emotionality and melancholy. The poppy Rock-sound (Grooveland Studio and Wave Sound Studio) makes the whole very radio-hit-potential, but a (very) few times the band shows a much more brutal face, including harsh riffs and even deep grunts (Forsaken). Lyrically there is that catchy Pop-Rock approach too, and the same goes for the modest yet interesting artwork. Recommended to fans of Entwine, The Rasmus and Poisonblack. Total running time: 46:22 minutes. 70/100 Ivan Tibos. |
