Nachtmystium is a project by Azentrius (aka Blake Judd of Helms Deep / Twilight / Krieg / Leviathan / Ezurate-fame). This time, he worked with e.g. Tony Laureano (Angelcorpse, ex-Nile, ex-Malevolent Creation, Aurora Borealis etc) and Worldfall needs to be seen as a warming-up (or some economical intermezzo?) to the upcoming new full length, Assassins, which will be released soon through Century Media. This mini-album, which lasts for only twenty six minutes, brings, again, an atmospheric and almost psychedelic collage of Black Metal epic. More than before, Pink Floyd-influences colour the whole, but also Doom, Prog and Sludge seem to be more important. The primitive rawness of the early years still lifts the whole up to cold and dark spheres, and the droning sound is both massive and underground-oriented. Besides two new tracks, Worldfall also contains a re-recorded version of the vinyl-release Solitary Voyage and two covers, Roseclouds Of Holocaust (Death In June; personal opinion: leave it!) and IV by Goatsnake, in a very acceptable version.
