“Not Without A Fight” is the sixth studio album of the American pop punk band New Found Glory (often abbreviated NFG).
The popular fivesome from Coral Springs, Florida formed in 1997 and earned quite some success throughout the years with albums like for instance “Sticks And Stones” (2002), “Catalyst” (2004) and “Coming Home” (2006).
This album is the first one for NFG’s new record label Epitaph and it announces a fresh start.
The easycore of these pop punk champions still sounds exciting and has an infectious drive some wouldn’t expect anymore after twelve years, but believe me, it’s still present all the way.
Main characteristics of NFG are the recognizable lead vocals of singer Jordan Pundik, accompanied by catchy guitar riffs and irrepressible melodies, all these components united in three minute-songs.
For those who do not know that New Found Glory is a reference on it’s own in the pop punk genre, it is interesting to discover that the production of “Not Without A Fight” was in the hands of Mark Hoppus, whose fame comes from Blink-182 and +44.
“Not Without A Fight” contains 12 songs and has a playing time of 36 minutes.
Highlights are the opening track "Right Where We Left Off", “Don’t Let Her Pull You Down”, the single “Listen To Your Friends”, “Tangled Up”, "I’ll Never Love Again", “Reasons”, “This Isn’t You” and the final track “Don’t Let This Be The End”.
New Found Glory is doing an European tour in May/June 2009, including gigs at Melkweg Amsterdam (the Netherlands) on May 27th, AB Brussels (Belgium) on May 31st and Rockhal Luxemburg on June 1st.
