Were we really expecting a comeback from this lady?  I’m afraid not, after listening to this CD for a few times.
I personally am not impressed.  But then again, back in the nineties when her career 'flourished' I wasn't impressed either. OK, she did have some good songs now and again, but taken these apart, most of the other songs on her albums were only fillers, and even the good songs were not of the kind that left a lasting impression.
The same is true for this new album.   Even after a few spins on my CD player I was not impressed. Style wise she might have added a few modern influences, but that's it.  Considering her limited vocal capacities (that is if you compare them to some other female vocalists, to name but one: Lana Lane), you wouldn't expect them to have improved over the years, and indeed, they didn't.
But what bothers me the most is the quality itself of the songs.  There's not one song on the album that immediately catches your ear.  Besides of that I also find that one some songs they've overdone it, maybe to hide the lucklastre quality?
Final conclusion: I have to admire her for trying a comeback after that many years, but sadly it lacks in quality. Maybe next time, with a couple of songs especially written to suit her style, who knows?

50/100
