Band : Black Label Society Late December of last year, our ediitor-in-chief was off on a short trip to Poland with his girlfriend, and from that trip he brought home some goodies in the form of a fair amount of incredibly low-priced (and recently released) albums and DVDs (and yes!, you wíll find this same intro elsewhere), and to tell you the truth, I ain’t sure whether this “Tour Edition” was distributed anywhere else than in Poland. For those already having Black Label Society’s debut DVD of 2003…that’s Boozed, Broozed & Broken-Boned…and the 2005 double-disc The European Invasion Doom Troopin’ Live (issued in Europe only a year later), let me tell you that this “Tour Edition” simply ads nothing, niente, nichts, rien du tout, niks, zilch! to the contents of the original discs…because it simply compiles those two releases in one 3-disc cardboard version (the only ‘new’ thing being the package’s art-work)! I’m guessing it was simply issued in this format to hàve something to release during the year 2008 (after all, it’s been a while since the band’s last studio album), so as the band could offer their fans something “special” while on the road that same year! For those among you happening to come across this DVD-package and wanting to know ahead what’s on it, check out the review of the 2005 DVD done by yours truly and posted 12/12/2006. The 2003 DVD (which obviously had a different track-list) may only be a one-disc affair, but the visual concept is very much the same. When you compare the track-lists of the two DVDs, you’ll find only “Demise Of Sanity” and “Genocide Junkies” are played on both DVDs, which is of course very nice! DVD…and a re-issue at that…so no rating, eh! Tony. |
