CD REVIEW All I know

Band: All I know
Album title: Vanity Kills
Label: Own Release
Distributor: Own Release
Release date: Out Now
Release: CD

This foursome containing Ward Dufraimont (vocals & guitar), Michaël Neyt (vocals & guitar), Amély Mondy (bass) and Dries Van Dyck (drums) started it all in 2005 on their home turf in Kortrijk Belgium. After 2 demos and a impressive list of tours, they just released their first full album called “Vanity Kills”.

Now about the CD. Do you remember when you were young and went searching in daddy’s cd or records collection? Hell, I still do it but then again I aint that old.
This band did the same in their younger years. They went back to dad’s eighties music collection and got their influences from bands like Billy Idol, Poison,… All I know (the bands name) is trying to sound like hard rock classics from back then. Now they really nailed the sound with this one, if you close your eyes you can imagine people with that wrong long eighties hair and wearing jeans vests. The music itself sounds cool, original and is a nice change from genre these days. But to be honest, it doesn’t feel eighties. I’m getting the feeling that these guys (and lady) are still a bit to young to make that kind of music but it’s a really good attempt.

88/100
